This Saturday was I at the première of Joseph Haydn Opera “Il mondo della luna” at Drottningholms Slottsteater. The theater is the only 1700 theater open for public. It was like a time journey to see this performance and I think it was much more high-tech than today’s performance onstage and online. The way they use the stage in 3D was amazing. It is also amazing that our senses of humour haven’t change since 1700 – but Joseph Haydn is immortal.
I don’t mean to be negative, but still I can’t stop to think about it. The human mind is wrong wired. We are programmed to focus on negative information. It’s a survival mindset (we need to focus on what can be dangerous for us). It’s not only me saying this its brain scientist. The words that keep coming up in my mind is:
Pain is real happiness is not!
What I mean is that pain is something you have to deal with; happiness is not something you have to make a decision to deal with (so it has lower priority). Probably this is why we don’t have a lot of happy news in the news.
Yesterday was I at a seminar called “the brand in your brain.” It was really good speakers as Professor Martin Ingvar and Absolut Spirits – Eric Näf, Director Product Innovation. They day were full of brain points and Absolut branding points. Martin did prove how our brains work and not work with information. Erik did show us that “In an Absolut world” is the world smiling back at you (then does our brain have us smiling back).
The seminar was a costumer arrangement done by Smurfit Kappa, a brand that has turnover 7 billion Euro. Smurfit Kappa is the world leader inpaper based packaging. If your nr 1 it is easier to expand the market than to compete with nr 2. Thats why they use their brain to move into the branding segment (where 7 billion Euro is not that much money).
The entrance on the picture is designed by Sergej, and the seminar was at SpaghettiOperan Regina.
Amateurs have more cameras than professional photographers and often more fun when shooting their photos. Now they can get paid having fun at Mostphotos.com. With low prices as 25€ they want to spread millions of photos around the world and pay half to the photographer. They do have an adult filter to try to secure the level of nature photos spread at their site.

Yesterday ended Stockholm MediaWeek. It was two not a traditional two day seminar, instead it was innovative done as a television show. The days were full of inspiration for journalist, media and advertisers (they sort of live together and now they al wants to be ONE with the consumers). I think one of the best speakers where Carlos Viladevall, Managing Director at Magic Touch from Spain. Carlos did show a lot of creative campaigns. Some of them were a mix of art and advertising, I call it Artisation (the advertising world really need a new word). Some call it Artvertising but Artisation is for me when advertising it self is becoming art.
