MTV rapping about consumers at the World Economic Forum
To little focus on consumer input to the World Economic Forum but under the topic of “Relinquishing control of web content,” did a CEO take the microphone and rapped about user-generated content:
“We’ve seen that our content has remained very popular and that the majority of page views on social networking sites are for professionally produced content,” Michael Wolf, President, MTV Networks.
Some teenagers I now look so much on MTV that their new flat screen TV has got marks of the MTV logo on the screen. Whatever channels they now are looking at they see the MTV logo. This will probably be a copyright issue in the future…
